Tim Calia is an award-winning Senior Creative Executive with a proven record of developing and managing high-profile, innovative integrated campaigns and partnerships for AV, Digital, and Print-related opportunities across global regions. An intuitive and strategic partner, Tim leverages deep expertise in creative strategy and cross-functional team leadership to deliver best-in-class campaigns that excite and engage fans around the world while fostering a culture of success.
After spending seven years on the agency side of the industry, Tim joined Twentieth Century Fox where he quickly progressed to senior global creative development roles. Working with talented teams and partners, Tim designed and executed creative strategies that further connected audiences with fan-favorite Intellectual Properties like Star Wars, Deadpool, Bohemian Rhapsody, The Simpsons, Sound of Music and multiple awards campaigns for Fox Searchlight.
Tim came to Disney through the acquisition of Twentieth Century Fox. Joining the global entertainment giant, Tim worked diligently to unify disparate creative teams, Intellectual Properties, and philosophies while retaining and elevating the team. He instilled a strong culture rooted in trust by leading with empathy, diplomacy, and strength. His adaptable team of 30 quickly pivoted to expand their impact, leading to high-quality creative outputs that exceeded revenue projections.
Throughout his career, Tim has worked with amazing and highly innovative brands, including Marvel Movie Studios, Pixar Animation Studios, Lucasfilm, Walt Disney Animation, Lightstorm, 20th Century Studios, Rodgers & Hammerstein, Gracie Films, MGM, and Searchlight Pictures.
Tim has won several awards for creative strategies and 360 campaigns spanning Digital/Mobile, AV, Print, Display, Out-of-Home and TV. Highlights include over 25 Clio Awards and Three Campaign of the Year wins, multiple Golden Trailer Awards and Honors for Diversity in Leadership. Some of his recent projects include Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3, Avatar: The Way of Water, Cruella, Encanto and The Menu, as well as several high-profile studio initiatives and inter-studio synergy projects.
